ADA WOLPE (1921 – 2004)<\/strong><\/h2>\n

…… and the artist sits in her studio in the Swiss mountains finishing another of her vibrant, inspired paintings. This one is of flowers – magical, colorful, robust. The artist – who signed her work simply as Ada – shunned publicity and worked hard to earn a living as she quietly painted and painted – her work collected by international and local collectors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ada\u2019s source of inspiration was her deep, enduring love for life and this flowed from her hands into her work. Drawings, sketches, paintings, people, faces, flowers, each a world unto itself.<\/div>\n

Sister of the famous South African sculptor and Art Professor Lippy Lipshitz, Ada was born in South Africa, and studied in London before settling in Switzerland.<\/div>\n
